Content Language

Since 4.4, everything WP-AutoInsight generates — post body, title, SEO metadata, and audio intros — is written in your site’s language instead of defaulting to English.

The setting ships as Follow site language, which reads the same locale WordPress itself uses (Settings → General → Site Language). A site set to Português do Brasil gets posts in Brazilian Portuguese; a German site gets German. Most sites never need to touch this.

Pick an explicit language instead when:

  • Your WordPress admin runs in English but you publish for a different audience (an en_US install writing Portuguese content).
  • Your WordPress locale doesn’t match your content language for any other reason.
  • Content → Keywords & Templates → Writing Style — the “Content language” dropdown, next to Tone. Changes auto-save.
  • Setup wizard — the post-status step includes the same dropdown for new installs.
OutputFollows content language?
Post bodyYes
Post titleYes
SEO title, meta description, social excerptYes
Audio intro / full rewriteYes
Truncation-repair closing sectionYes
Generated imagesNo (images have no language; alt text follows the content language)

Templates written before 4.4 have no {language} placeholder — they still work. When a template doesn’t include {language}, the plugin appends the language instruction to the end of the prompt automatically, so a Portuguese site with an old custom template still gets Portuguese posts.

If you want to control where the instruction lands in your prompt, add {language} explicitly:

Write a {tone} blog post in {language} titled "{title}", focused on {keyword}.

Every placeholder available in content templates and Topic Library prompts:

PlaceholderExpands to
{language}The content language name, e.g. “Brazilian Portuguese”
{keyword}The single focus keyword picked for this post
{keywords}The full keyword group, comma-joined
{title}The post title
{tone}The configured writing tone
{category}The target category name
{site_name}Your site’s name
{word_count}The approximate word target derived from the length setting
