Scheduled Automation

Put your content strategy on autopilot. WP-AutoInsight can publish AI-generated posts on a recurring schedule without any manual input.

When scheduling is enabled, the plugin uses WordPress’s built-in task runner (WP-Cron) to automatically trigger a content generation job at your chosen interval. Each run rotates through your configured Keyword Groups in sequence, so every scheduled post covers a different topic.

  1. Go to WP-AutoInsight and click the Connections tab.
  2. Click the Scheduling sub-tab.
  3. Under “Auto-create posts”, choose your preferred interval:
    • None: Scheduling disabled (default).
    • Hourly: One post generated per hour.
    • Daily: One post generated once per day.
    • Weekly: One post generated once per week.
  4. Click Save Settings. The schedule will activate immediately.

Requirement: You must have at least one Keyword Group configured before enabling a schedule. See Content Settings for how to create groups.

The scheduler cycles through your Keyword Groups in order, one group per scheduled run. For example, if you have three groups — “Product Reviews,” “Industry News,” and “Tutorials” — the schedule will rotate:

  1. Run 1 → Product Reviews
  2. Run 2 → Industry News
  3. Run 3 → Tutorials
  4. Run 4 → Product Reviews (cycle restarts)

Within each group, one keyword is selected per run. This ensures consistent, varied coverage across all your topics over time.

Every automated post appears in the Generation Log with its source listed as “Scheduled.” You can also see the status of your scheduler and the next run time directly on the main Dashboard.
