Draft Mode
Since 4.2, every post WP-AutoInsight generates is saved as a draft by default — nothing goes live without your review. If you’d rather publish immediately, one setting flips the behavior site-wide.
Changing the Default
Section titled “Changing the Default”- Go to WP-AutoInsight → Settings (General sub-tab).
- Find New Post Status and choose:
- Save as draft for review (recommended) — generated posts wait in your Posts list until you publish them.
- Publish immediately — generated posts go live the moment generation finishes.
The setting applies to every generation path: manual buttons, bulk generation, scheduled automation, and Topic Library runs.
Per-Topic Overrides
Section titled “Per-Topic Overrides”Topics in the Topic Library can override the global setting individually. A news-roundup topic can publish immediately while everything else stays draft-first — set Post status on the topic itself.
The order of precedence, from strongest to weakest:
- The bulk generator’s “save as drafts” checkbox (always wins when checked)
- A topic’s own post-status override
- The global New Post Status setting
Upgrading from 4.1 or Earlier
Section titled “Upgrading from 4.1 or Earlier”Your previous behavior is preserved automatically. The old Draft First checkbox value is migrated to the new setting on upgrade: if you had unchecked it (“always publish”), posts keep publishing immediately. A one-time notice after the upgrade points you to the setting.
