Draft Mode

Since 4.2, every post WP-AutoInsight generates is saved as a draft by default — nothing goes live without your review. If you’d rather publish immediately, one setting flips the behavior site-wide.

  1. Go to WP-AutoInsight → Settings (General sub-tab).
  2. Find New Post Status and choose:
    • Save as draft for review (recommended) — generated posts wait in your Posts list until you publish them.
    • Publish immediately — generated posts go live the moment generation finishes.

The setting applies to every generation path: manual buttons, bulk generation, scheduled automation, and Topic Library runs.

Topics in the Topic Library can override the global setting individually. A news-roundup topic can publish immediately while everything else stays draft-first — set Post status on the topic itself.

The order of precedence, from strongest to weakest:

  1. The bulk generator’s “save as drafts” checkbox (always wins when checked)
  2. A topic’s own post-status override
  3. The global New Post Status setting

Your previous behavior is preserved automatically. The old Draft First checkbox value is migrated to the new setting on upgrade: if you had unchecked it (“always publish”), posts keep publishing immediately. A one-time notice after the upgrade points you to the setting.
